Justification of the Course:

This course includes the minimum knowledge, understanding and sufficiency that applicants must have to perform the functions of seafarer in Panamanian jurisdictional waters, which include the basic topics of personal survival techniques at sea, fire prevention and fighting, first aid and personal safety and social responsibilities.

• Introduction.
• Fire prevention and fighting.
• Personal survival.
• First aid.
• Familiarization with safety standards and equipment.
• Basic principles for surviving at sea.
• Awareness for protection in protection for seafarers.
