SAFETY TRAINING FOR PERSONNEL PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICE TO PASSENGERS IN PASSENGERSSPACES (IMO 1.44) IMO COURSES

Justification of the Course:

This course is intended for anyone who is part of the crew and has to attend to passengers in places such as: recreation, entertainment, rooms, etc. It belongs to the minimum training and additional instruction requirements for those persons who provide direct service to passengers on those ships dedicated to the carriage of passengers, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation V/2, paragraph 6, Section A-V/2, paragraph 2 of the STCW '78 Convention as amended and its Training Code.


COURSE CONTENT:

Describe events that lead to accidents or disasters on board passenger ships.

Communication with passengers during an emergency.

Demonstration to passengers of how to use individual life-saving devices.

Embarking and disembarking passengers, paying special attention to the disabled and other persons requiring assistance.


DURATION OF THE COURSE:

7 hours (1 day).


CERTIFICATION:

An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
