Justification of the Course:

This course has been developed in accordance with Rule II/1 and II/3, Section A-II/1 and A-II/3, and Table A-II/1 and A-II/3 of STCW '78, in order to achieve the requirements for the course on the use of the RADAR navigation system for captains and officers in charge of the navigation watch, in reference to the use of navigational aid equipment.

COURSE CONTENT:

• Navigation radar, Automatic radar and use of harp.
• Radar configurations and Operability according to the manufacturer.
• Safe use of Radar in navigation.
• Automatic navigation radar manual.
• Harp or Radar tracking system and AIS reporting function.
• Harp or Tracking Radar Handling

CERTIFICATION:

An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
