Justification of the Course:

This course has been developed in faithful compliance with the parameters of Section A/1.1.6 (and Section A/12) of the ISPS Code. Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS and Regulation VI/5 and section A-VI/5 of STCW'78, as amended, so that the participant has a broad knowledge of the security standards that apply to maritime companies.

Current Threats and Patterns to Maritime Security.

Maritime security policies.

Protection Responsibilities.

Ship Security Assessment and On-Site Inspections.

Protective Equipment. Ship Protection Plan.

Identification of the threat. Ship security actions.

Preparedness for protection emergencies, practices and exercises.

Protection management. Protection training.

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

20 hours (3 days).
