Justification of the Course:

This course is designed to meet the training requirements based on Regulation III/5, section A-III/5, Table A-III/5, in reference to service on a seagoing ship powered by main propulsion machinery of 750 kW of propulsion power or more in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Maintenance of Seafarers' Ships, 1978, as amended.


COURSE CONTENT:

  • Support level training for marine engineers.
  • Engineering safe guard.
  • Maintenance and change of the guard.
  • Diesel propulsion engine.
  • Auxiliary diesel engine propulsion systems.
  • Auxiliary Diesel engines.
  • Auxiliary steam boiler.
  • Fuel and oil transfer operations.
  • Bilge and ballast operations.
  • Operation of equipment and machinery.
  • Valves (Types, functions, components).
  • Pumps (Functions, types, operation).

    DURATION OF THE COURSE:

222 hours (28 days).


CERTIFICATION:

An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
