Justification of the Course:

The Leadership and Teamwork Course is aimed at managing and training personnel on board as well as maritime conventions and recommendations for the development, implementation and supervision of standard operating procedures, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation II/1, III/1, III/6, Section A-II/1, AIII/1, A-III/6 and Table A-II/1, A-III/1, A-III/6, of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, and its Training Code.

COURSE CONTENT:

Introduction and Administration Training and professional knowledge of the handling of personnel on board.

Leadership and teamwork.

Knowledge of personal skills and behavioral characteristics.

Knowledge of international conventions, recommendations and national legislation.

Skills to implement jobs and workload management.

Knowledge and ability to effectively use human resources.

Knowledge and the ability to apply decision-making techniques.

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

20 hours (3 days).

CERTIFICATION:

An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
