PASSENGER SAFETY, CARGO SAFETY AND HULL INTEGRITY TRAINING IMO COURSES

Justification of the Course:

This course covers and seeks to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the management of the safe opening of the hull and the control of the atmosphere on RO-RO passenger ships, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation V/2, Section A-V/2 paragraph 5 of the amended STCW '78 Convention and its Training Code.


COURSE CONTENT:

  • Loading and loading procedure.
  • Design and operational limitation of passenger ships of ro-ro (RO-RO).
  • Ability to correctly apply the procedures established for the ship.
  • Transport of dangerous goods.
  • Load securing Opening, closing and fastening of the hull openings.
  • Atmosphere on ro-ro (RO-RO) decks.
  • Correctly apply the procedures established in the vessel for the ventilation of ro-ro cargo spaces during vehicle loading and unloading operations, as well as during the voyage and in emergency situations.

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

17.5 hours (3 days).


CERTIFICATION:

An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
