SAFE APPROACH NON-IMO COURSES

Justification of the Course:

This course is designed to provide the necessary tools and knowledge, based on the regulations of the Panama Canal Authority and the International Convention SOLAS, for the prevention of accidents and safe embarkation. Aimed at: Persons employed or who will be employed by an operator of an auxiliary services company, or who provides service to ships in the waters of the Panama Canal, Persons who must perform a boarding maneuver to the ship, whether anchored or in motion.

  • Introduction.
  • National and international regulations
  • Organization on board the ship
  • Types of vessels
  • Parts and dimensions of the vessel
  • Safety on board the ship
  • Safe boarding and disembarking manoeuvre
  • Theory Test
  • Practice

DURATION OF THE COURSE:

  • 8 hours (1 day).

CERTIFICATION:

  • An Authorized certificate will be granted by the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP).
